What do Vehicle Paint Sprayers do?
The Autocare Technician Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard provides learners with a fantastic start to their automotive career. Apprentices can gain expertise not only in the technical elements of the role but also learn excellent telephone, customer handling and effective sales skills.
An Autocare Technician carries out a range of services and repairs to cars, car derived vans and light goods vehicles. The technician requires a unique combination of technical, retail and customer service skills, and will use a range of tools, measuring and diagnostic equipment to identify & repair simple system faults.
What qualifications do I need for this apprenticeship?
To be considered for this apprenticeship you must have GCSEs, Functional Skills or Key Skills at grade C/4 or above in English and maths (or equivalent), If your grades are below this, we will discuss your options for taking functional skills in Maths and/or English. As well as this, predicated grades are accepted, and work experience or knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
The apprentice will work towards the following qualifications:
- Level 2 Autocare Technician Apprenticeship Standard
- Functional Skills in maths and English if required
